I was approached by a friend of mine who is a teacher at Whispering Hills Elementary School to teach her grade two class art for the day. I am so happy that she asked me to come in because I had a blast and remembered how much I loved teaching art. If you didn't know already I have my degree in Education and I taught art for two years. I loved every moment of it. The project that I did with the grade two's was intense and I am happy that they made it through 8 hours of painting! They did such an amazing job I was so proud :) Below you can see some great action shots I took while they were painting. The project was to create three paintings using three different techniques I taught them for each painting. After they finished painting their three paintings they were to paint a back ground and assemble an abstract geometric painting or "masterpiece" :) We then framed it for them and had them sign the bottom of the painting on the matting and wrapped them to give them to their mom's for Mother's Day. They turned out amazing, don't you agree? Thank you again to Whispering Hills Elementary School for having me come teach you art. I loved every minute of it!
